After military service in her native Israel, Yael Gonen-Dawson embarked on a career that took her to New York City and London before returning to New York to complete theatrical studies at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in 2009. In 2010, she produced and acted in the award-winning film “Reverie,” which was featured at the Cannes Film Festival; her other films include “Eleanor.”
But that’s only part of Yael’s extraordinary journey. When a knee injury hindered her ability to perform, she delved into New York City real estate and found immediate success with all manner of clients — including investors, non-American buyers, first-time homebuyers, management companies, and leasing offices. In 2019, she traded the concrete canyons of Manhattan for the sunshine and ocean of Los Angeles, where providing stellar service is still her top priority.
Yael credits her life experience for her success in real estate. “You have to create your own success and motivation, and be proactive as well as see things through,” she says. Along with perseverance and empathy, Yael offers clients a worldly business savvy while managing multifaceted transactions and making creative visions come true. “Always lead with honesty and integrity. Be kind, and you can be proud of your work,” she says.
Yael gives back to the community as co-chair of the social justice committee for Temple Israel of Hollywood Early Childhood Center. She retains her fascination with theater and film, loves animals, and is the proud mom of two children plus one fur baby.
